We have an active prayer ministry. Teri Nichols emails the congregation's prayer team when there is a prayer request at First Lutheran. If interested kindly email Teri at tericlothmom@yahoo.com.
--- Lay Readers ---
Needed each Sunday to read The Old Testament Lesson and The Epistle. A Sign-up sheet is located in the Church Narthex. Gilbert Scott will be happy to give you more information.
--- Altar Guild ---
Two Volunteers are needed at each Service to assist with the care of the Altar. Training is available. A member of the Altar Guild, or Linda Macy can provide more information
--- Ushers ---
Two Volunteers are needed for each Service to help provide an orderly Worship Service. Responsibilities innclude: Greet members & visitors, provide them with programmes & bulletins, assist with seating, receiving Communion, and offerings.

In addition, every 2 years new Board Members, Elders, and Council Members are selected to serve the Church. These are volunteer positions.) The Boards and Council Seats are as follows >>
--- Social Ministry ---
Goals: to discover the needs of persons in our congregation & community & attempt to provide for them ... stock the parish Food Bank, assists with meals & needs of our sick, elderly ... offer assistance to families when a death occurs ... & send cards of encouragement to our members. Wish to help others? - this is a great ministry for you!
--- Christian Outreach ---
Goals: to bring the Gospel to the unchurched, enlist and equip God's people for the work of spreading the Gospel, and foster a church growth consciousness among all members.
--- Stewardship ---
Goals: Development of good stewarship attitudes in the members of the congregation in regard to time, talents, and treasures ... to provide for the training and utilization of members of the congregation for the work of Christ's Kingdom, and to ensure the financial stability of the congregation and its work through a developed program of dedicated, proportionate, first-fruits giving ... promulgates the church budget with help from all Boards.
--- Trustees ---
Goals: the proper maintenance and repair of the Physical plant ... the representation of the congregation in all legal matters, and the general protection of the congregation against loss or damage of whatever nature.
--- Board of Christian Education ---
Goals: to plan,direct and administer the total education program of the congregation, to determine & plan policies, to select personnel for the various ministries, to provide necessary tools for these ministries.
--- Recording Secretary ---
Goals: Performs duties assigned by the President, Voter's Assembly, and Church Council. Recording Council and Voter Assembly Minutes are the main duties. Must attend Council Meetings.
--- Website Assistance ---
Goals: Website experience, software applications, & computers helpful ... promoting the Church info & helping to maintain good communication skills among members, the community, & prospective visitors >a priority.
